I got up this morning and I did what I do every day I walked out to check my bird feeder to make sure the feed level was at the right level since here in the Carolinas there are a number of birds of various species that we’re getting used to that like to eat a lot in the early morning hours they have we’ve got their time down now to at dinnertime is 621 and we have their breakfast time down as well that we like to sit and watch but as I walked out the crisp fall air welcome to me as i slid the door open and I realized that once again the fall festival season of God is upon us what the cooler weather does here in the northern hemisphere is it causes me to reflect on the feast even though we have attended in temperate climates since about nineteen ninety-five and every year I begin to get that disease that’s not fatal thankfully feast fever and begin to plan as i go about daily tasks in preparation for the feast i have just finished the schedule for the feast site we will be attending in colombia and all of the details working with those on the ground there you begin to realize it is just a very short period of time away how about you have you begun to do that yet i would say probably many of you have i think most of us brethren are aware that we those of us sitting here today and on me standing here are not the only people who keep the fall holy days as we call them here in the northern hemisphere the Jews also keep these days and in fact are the largest body of people who do keep them however i think it is fitting to examine and stop and meditate for a moment that their approach is somewhat very different than ours they approach the fall holy days especially the Day of Atonement in much the same way that we would approach the Passover with repentance self-examination and humility the international standard Bible encyclopedia states that the Day of Atonement marked the turning point of the year primarily perhaps in the natural phenomena of Palestine but also in the inner life of the nation and the individual hence the religious significance of these days as days of judgement penitence and forgiveness soon overshadowed any other significance they may have had turn with me if you would today to Leviticus chapter 23 Leviticus chapter 23 I want to examine today their approach that they have and what can we learn from this Leviticus 23 we will be I know reading this during the fall feast days the festival of trumpets the day of atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles in the eighth day which is coming up as well Leviticus 23 and verse 39 we read also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month when you have gathered in the fruit of the land you shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days on the first day shall be a Sabbath and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath and you shall take you notice this in verse 40 you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees branches of palm trees and the bowels of thick trees and the willows of the brook and you shall rejoice be for the Lord your God seven days the ancient Israelites were commanded to build booths to live in during the feast the Jews interpreted this as a separate ceremony they take the branches and they weave them together you see each tree and each branch each tree in each branch represents a part of the feast it represents a part of the feast but when you take all the branches and you weave them together they represent to them God being with them everywhere to the Jews it is very clear to say that God is the feast God is the feast let’s go to Ezekiel please the Book of Ezekiel in verse 48 you see this concept of God is the feast is very important for you and I to understand as we keep the face of the Lord Ezekiel 48 we read in 35 and verse 35 rather he writes it was round about 18,000 measures here is the new jerusalem and the name of the city from that day shall be the Lord is there God is present the name in the description of the city inscribed in the walls all the way around is the Lord is there God’s presence will be known he will be among men and be their God what better theme what better vision in our minds can we have as we go into this festival season as the world continues in turmoil and we see all of the dynamics of the conflict as we saw the sermonette from Gary petty and they’re beyond today that arab-israeli conflict will not be solved until Jesus Christ returns the economic challenges the here in the United States the presidential election as it builds up between the candidates and I driving across the United States I see signs or buildings you know that say they’re very clear Ron Paul headquarters or area for Mitt Romney or whoever it is and you know well that’s another candidate as it becomes full swing each promising his ideals that will solve what can be solved when God is here each year we are reminded of the holy days of God that responsibility we take soberly it is important for the upcoming holy days all of these speakers we will discuss what our topics are to make sure that we clearly explain what the holy days of God are and we need to ask ourselves as we are doing this and keeping these commanded feasts of God do we see God more clearly do we see God more clearly Deuteronomy chapter 16 let’s go back there please Deuteronomy 16 in verse 16 three times in a year or seasons shall all the males or the family leaders appear before the Lord their God our God in the place which he shall choose the place which God chooses in the feast of unleavened bread the feast of weeks and in the Feast of Tabernacles that season they shall not appear before the Lord empty we must not forget that on the holy days and on the feast days we go where we go because God is there and he has placed his name there that is important a couple of sermons ago I asked the question how much are we focused on the vision of God’s kingdom is it right there in our mind in the front ‘let’s right there where we think about it i remember a family that lived in urbandale iowa that we would go to visit and stay with from time to time as we entered into their house right up on the doorpost was a little thing nailed there with the Ten Commandments and a greeting in Hebrew and when we would walk in I would see that and it would be reminded that that is the vision of what we must focus on the kingdom of God is where we’re going it is our vision it must be foremost in our minds the challenge we have as human beings as we all know you and I as we are easily distracted with the cares of this world the challenges of getting up in the morning and showering and eating and working all the things that we have to do and putting those in the proper balance but keeping that vision strongly at the forefront of our minds where there is no vision the people perish such is also true for the Church of God we must keep that vision there but I want to ask now and I want to ask again how much are we you and I focused on the literal presence of God one of the lessons that we should learn from the feasts of god and i would ask us to consider as we go and keep it this year and keep those days is that are we able do we have the ability to see God James faucet and brown commentary volume 1 page 500 says the four arboreal branches and I will add some commentaries say for excuse me some say five were not designed for the construction of the booze but were to be carried in the temple to rejoice before the lord seven days apparently during the feast the Jews would bring their branches to the tabernacle and walk around it and the altar every day this is to show that God is there every day and therefore involved in everything that was done during the feast as we plan the activities during the feast as we plan the holy days the fall holy days of trumpets and atonement as we come up do we understand that God is there and we must look at those activities and say Jesus Christ God is here with us what will we do he was present and all that was done was done to his glory and honor Exodus chapter three if you would turn back there please Exodus chapter 3 in verse 14 we know the story when Moses was talking with God and the burning bush up on the mountain and Moses said unto God behold take note look when I come into the children of Israel and shall say unto them the god of your father has sent me unto you and they shall say to me what is his name what shall i say unto them this is very important and God stated and said and spoke unto Moses tell them I am that I am and he said you shall then say into the children of Israel I am has sent me unto you God told Moses to reveal him as the I am the word here hiya to become to occur to come to pass to be often this verb indicates more than a simple existence of identity this may be indicated by omitting the verb all together rather the verb makes a strong statement about the being or presence of a person or thing yet the simple meaning become or come to pass appears often in the English versions one of the most debated uses of high occurs in Exodus 314 here we read where God tells Moses his name he says I am hi-yah that I am hyah in Spanish yo soy yo soy since the Divine Name God or Yahweh was well known long before this revelation seems to emphasize that the God who made the Covenant as we read in Genesis 41 was the God who kept that covenant so exodus 314 is more than a simple statement of identity I am that I am is a declaration of divine controlling of everything everything that comes from bindings expository dictionary biblical words in Exodus chapter 14 let’s read some verses here as we develop this concept of God being with us during his feasts Exodus 14 of verse 10 we know the story and when Pharaoh drew nigh that children of Israel lifted up their eyes behold the Egyptians marched after them and they were sore afraid you know as I’ve often told my children with the story about the three little pigs they were when the wolf knocked on the door they were flat scared they were very afraid and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord and they said unto Moses because there were no graves in Egypt you have taken us to die out here in the wilderness wherefore have you dealt thus with us to carry us away from Egypt why have you done this is not this the word that we told you in Egypt saying leave us alone that we may serve these Egyptians or had been better for us to serve in the Egyptians with the Egyptians then we should die in the wilderness that’s a whole sermon by itself with the reasoning process that they came to they had just been through the Passover they have witnessed some dramatic happenings but when we get to verse 11 what is missing why the change you know you read and in other verses clearly that they served with rigor it was horrible it was very difficult and they pleaded God send us a deliverer and now they’re saying why did you take us away from this it was perfect what changed what changed because when you get to verse 11 here’s what’s missing the element that is missing is God they could see God in the miracles but they could not see him without the miracles that’s important that is important for us to understand and as we go on verse 29 the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea that God separated the waters were a wall to them so the waters as one man said you know they were about knee deep they were easy to walk through I don’t think so it says they were a wall if I look this curtain behind me and I look over here it is a wall it goes quite high in the air so the water on each side of them was a wall on their right and on their left and it says thus the eternal saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians and Israel saw with their eyes the Egyptians dead upon the seashore so once again they could see the hand of God at work he had delivered them he had no doubt to them there was no doubt at to his presence he was there the trials the difficulties they would face and taking the entire nation out on foot seemed insignificant so long as God was with them as we go on in Exodus 15 and verse 22 let’s see what happened so Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea and they went out into the wilderness of sure and they went three days into the wilderness and they didn’t find any wall I can tell you from my experience having gone for days with no water to shower that I really need water and if I had that long of time period with no water to drink we would have a big big problem wouldn’t we we can live for several days without food but minimally without water our bodies are primarily made of water we need that to live so they went three days in the wilderness they didn’t find any water when they came to Marat they could not drink of it for they were bitter they would make them sick and kill them and they were poisoned therefore the name was called Marat and the people murmured against Moses saying you know that murmured word what shall we drink there’s nothing to drink you can imagine Moses after time just said bye what shall we drink it doesn’t say they just said they asked what shall we drink they murmured they complained they said what shall we drink you see this great incredible miracle that took place of the Red Sea that had just happened not long and but here they are now three days into the wilderness is dis understanding that God was there didn’t last long have they forgotten what God did at the Red Sea that quickly I don’t believe so but what they couldn’t do was see God without a current miracle they had to have a current miracle from time to time I have had some say to me I need a Red Sea miracle in my life so I know that God is still here and with me we go on to Exodus 16 and verse 13 they came to pass that had even or sunset the quails came up they covered the camp in the morning to do lay around about the host when the dude that lay was gone up behold upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing as small as the hoar frost on the ground and the when the children of Israel saw it they said one to another look what is it which is what manna means what is it or man who what is this for they were not what it was and Moses said to them this is the bread which the Lord gives you to eat this is what God is giving you to eat another trial or challenge they didn’t have enough to eat God said don’t worry here you go here’s the food so once again they murmured God provided the manna to take care of that with the manna brethren they could see God once again though some were blind enough to lose sight of him when it came to not keeping any overnight he said here’s how you gather it this is what you do apparently many lost sight of him by the end of the week when they were supposed to gather a double portion they had difficulty following the directions of God gave them and numbers chapter 11 in numbers chapter 11 and see what is interesting as we go through this story brethren you and I are not any different in our Trek to follow God we do many of the same things as spiritual Israel the lessons are here for us to look at examine meditate on see or we like that and what should we change that’s what you and I must do in numbers chapter 11 verse 4 and the mixed multitude that’s important I’ll be commenting about that the sermon in the future the mixed multitude that was among them fella lusting and the children of Israel also wept again you know better explained here in the Hebrew they began to complain again and they said who shall give us flesh to eat we need carne we need meat this this other stuff is okay but we need meat now being male and liking meat I like chicken and fish and steak there are times my wife will say what would you like for dinner and I say meat so it’s not wrong to want meat we all like that and enjoy it but here the the approach was they were not happy with what God was feeding them and said who will give us flesh to eat the verse 5 we remember ah oh I remember the fish we did eat in Egypt freely the cucumber’s the melons the leaks The Onion’s the garlic the seasoning oh I can smell it but now our soul is dried away there is nothing at all besides this manna yeah before our eyes do you see the approach do you see the attitude and we know the story after a short while of the manna the daily miracle from God it wasn’t good enough anymore they wanted another Red Sea there’s a very human tendency here brethren for you and me we all want evidence that God likes us we want to see the hand of God at work and many times as we’ll discuss he very much does but we don’t see it we don’t see it many times you and I are looking for a Red Sea miracle rather than looking for the little things that God does for us every day Deuteronomy chapter 8 let’s go over there please you see this human experience that we have brethren as we go through it not completely understanding it at times a good part of the time because we’re human God says I am I’m here I’m with you I’m here but you don’t see me he says clearly Deuteronomy 8 in verse 1 all the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do that you may live and multiply and go in the and possess the land which the Lord promised unto your fathers and we know as we read through here you shall remember verse 2 all the ways in which the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness to Humble you to prove you to know what was in your heart whether you would keep his Commandments or not and he humbled you and suffered you to hunger he fed you with manna which you didn’t know neither did your father’s know that he might make you to know that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God does man live your clothing did not wax old neither did your foot swell you know walking all that time and standing if it were me my feet would smit would smell would swell maybe smell too sometimes on the Sabbath when I’m standing a lot in a couple sermons and walking my feet swell up when I get home they’re swollen this didn’t happen to them and their clothes didn’t wear out you shall not you shall also consider your heart there’s a man corrects his son so the Lord God corrects you therefore you shall keep the commandments of God your God to walk in his ways in to fear him for the Lord God brings you into a good land of Brooks of water fountains and depth spring out of Valley and Hills a land of wheat and barley and vines and fig trees and pomegranates a land of olive oil and honey where you shall eat bread without scarce dish not lack anything a land use stones are iron and out of those hills you may dig brass when you have eaten and you’re full then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which he has given you but notice verse 11 a warning beware danger that you do not forget the Lord your God and not keeping his Commandments his judgment statutes which I command you this day don’t take anything for granted don’t look to to make it more clearly don’t look for the red see the huge miracle and miss the manna as we come up to the fall feasts often is the case challenges enter our lives family job church the world we must diligently seek the face of God to see that God is with us and hear how many problems would be eliminated if we looked for God every day in the little things the little things how much better with how much more faith would we you and I deal with our difficulties if we still looked for God even in the difficulty and tried to emulate how our Father would live and Jesus Christ I remember back several years ago a self-proclaimed man stated that the people who suffered i heard him say it the people who suffered in the hurricane katrina deserved it and were specifically pinpointed by god for such and I thought al you know I don’t find specifically in scripture God doing that it talks about the Tower of Siloam let’s turn to Luke chapter 13 momentarily here and take a look at that for a minute because this is important to understand Luke chapter 13 and verse 1 there were president that season some that told of the Galileans whose blood pilate had mingled with their sacrifices and jesus answered and said suppose you that these Galileans were sinners above all the others because they suffered such things I tell you no but except you repent you shall all likewise perish or those 18 upon whom this big Tower of Siloam fell and slew them do you think they were sinners above all the men that dwelt in Jerusalem I tell you he said no but except you repent you will like likewise perish I had to wonder as this man made this comment what if his family had been there when Katrina hit and died then what would he say too often if we’re not careful we may set ourselves up as more righteous than the world yes we are called by God we are a holy peculiar a purchased people but it doesn’t make us better we should never be condescending Christ was merciful and over and over he forgave he castigated the religious leaders that he did in situations that arise that we deal with in life that you and I face do we see God do we see God you remember what job said after he went through the horrible trial he lost everything he had his wife his children all of his fortune ended up sitting on a heap with a piece of pottery scraping the source after all that took place and he finally understood ah you know when God had to say where were you when I created all of this you think you’re so good and so smart but where were you and finally you remember job said ah now I see you I get it your God I’m not I see you let’s go back to first Kings chapter 19 please we know the story here too Elijah had as we would say had had enough God had worked through him but he was on the run of his life from Jezebel and frankly he was exhausted he was tired I’ve been there so view we just are worn out and we’re tired we say I don’t know if I can do this anymore he had lost sight of God and verse 4 he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a juniper tree and he requested for himself he said just let me die now you have to think about this he really didn’t want to die because he just got done running from Jessup Jezebel she had said I’m going to kill you he should have said go for it do it whatsoever you do do it quickly but he didn’t he didn’t really want to die but here he runs and he said it’s enough o Lord take away my life for him no better than my ferrets or my father’s he was depressed discouraged and he said for I don’t want to do this anymore in verse 9 came then they’re under the cave and he lodged there you know still trying to get away from Jezebel most likely and the word of the Lord came to him and said unto Him what are you doing here Elijah what’s up what are you doing here and he said oh I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts I’ve been very zealous for you he said for the children of Israel forsaken your covenant those children of Israel that you called they’re not doing their job they’ve thrown down your altars they slain the prophets with the sword and I even I only and left and now they want to take my life and kill me and he said go forth stand upon them out before the Lord and behold the Lord pass by and a great strong wind shook the mountains and broken pieces the rock before the Lord but the Lord wasn’t in the wind and after the wind and there was an earthquake but the Lord wasn’t in the earthquake and after the earthquake a fire but God wasn’t in that and they after the fire a still small voice a delicate whispering voice as of a breeze going through the leaves rustling God called to Elijah and all the big dramatic and earth shaking things Elijah was looking for happened all these things but God wasn’t in those things he spoke with a still small voice and we know as the story goes on the Lord said in verse 15 go return your way to the wilderness of Damascus in Syria and when you come anoint has Al to be king and yay who the son of nimpah thou shalt it on to be king over Israel I should’ve out of Ebola shall the noin to be profit in the room they shall come to pass at him that escapes the sort of has Al shell Jay who slay him that escapes from the sort of Jay who shall Elijah slay yet he said and here’s what he says I have left me seven thousand in Israel all the knees which have not bowed unto bail in every mouth which is not kissed him he says what’s more Elijah I have 7000 who have not bowed to bail what do you mean you only you are left God was there he was present and he was working and he was powerful but he Elijah had lost sight of him in Matthew 5 and verse 8 Matthew 5 and verse 8 it says blessed as we talked about recently a few weeks ago here in Charlotte verse 8 blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God why is it you and I at times lose sight of God why aren’t we able to see him as we should because my motives your motives were human beings we struggle we’re not spiritual completely yet our motives our actions our hearts all of us you and I are not always pure Jeremiah 17 says verse 9 the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked and apart from God we rationalize you and I reason I myself try to look at God from a very human perspective and that’s where we get into trouble if an ordinary person goes out on a night of stars I I recently was a planetarium up in not far from here gastonia I’m still trying to learn all of the cities in North Carolina in gastonia we went to the planetarium and if an ordinary person goes out on the night of stars he sees as we did there a host of pinpoints of light in the sky as they come he sees what he’s able to see it that’s what I’m able to see but in the same sky an astronomer not an astrologist but an astronomer will call the Stars and the planets by their names and will move among the skylight or the skyline and the Scott night sky as friends oh there’s this and there’s this and from the same sky the Navigator could find the means to bring his ship across the trackless cease to be desired as a safe haven if you take two men or two women or two people and you put them into a room filled with these ancient pictures a man with no knowledge and skill cannot really tell the difference an old master from a worthless dog but a trained art critic might well discern a picture worth thousands of dollars in a collection which if someone else might say ah this is junk recently my wife and I went to a antique store and we were perusing through it and looking and I find it interesting because many of the things that are antiques when I was I guess I’m an antique too but I know what most of those were and we used to use them and now they’re for sale but a picture caught my eye and I said oh that’s a print from this artist very well done it put in a nice frame and I thought I’d like to have that I wonder how much it is and I looked down and it had been marked down and down and down and down and down and the lady said ah nobody wants that I said to my wife I like that she said I like it too that was a good idea we both liked it grab it instead of me I don’t care for that or she likes it and I don’t we said yeah I like it so I bought it and instead of the original price which was a couple hundred dollars or something i got it for twenty dollars so i was like yes but it was a print that I had seen years ago from an art studio up in Wisconsin and I recognize that I said I’ll take it so you see the difference on the focus a few years ago I went to see the movie Bruce Almighty now this is not a push to suggest you go watch bruce almighty i can’t recommend all of it i don’t recommend all of it but there were parts that were incisive some were humorous toward the end Bruce finally sees god I think played by Morgan Freeman from a much different perspective he’s praying to God giving an example of prayer and he prays a very heartfelt prayer and God looks at him and says now that’s better that’s better in Deuteronomy chapter 12 let’s go back there please Deuteronomy chapter 12 in verse 5 the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there even though his habitation shall you seek and there you shall come and you shall bring your burnt offerings in your sacrifice and your tithes and heave offerings of your hand and your vows and your freewill offerings and the first things of your herd and of your flocks for the feasts of God we go where god has placed his name have you ever thought about that even in terms of Sabbath services we search and we pray for a place to meet when a place opens up for the people of God to meet for the Sabbath do we say up just coincidence you see I don’t believe God will just care for his children by chance you’ll say ah we’ll figure something out or do we sometimes say you know I don’t really like where we are I wish we had this at the feast sometimes in other countries we have challenges to find places to meet sometimes they change things at the last minute and maybe the accommodations aren’t exactly like what we would like but God says he chooses and this is where he is that’s where we need to be it is clear to me that at the feast God’s presence is there because you also see how everything fits together because without him the feast would not be I would like you to consider and think if you would for a moment how many accidents over the years has God protected you from have you thought about that some you know and some you don’t know because they didn’t happen I was delayed on a trip recently driving a bit frustrated we first we went to Starbucks and that was that took 38 minutes to get a drink for whatever reason then something else happened and we were delayed ago we stopped at a wendy’s to get a bowl of chili we thought they’d be in and out quickly and my wife can eat it you know that i can pull off at a rest area and eat it and when it cools down and that took 35 or 40 minutes so I was kind of just delaying his further and then we came up upon an accident a bad one and I thought hmm maybe I should be thankful we were delayed we don’t know what a sheriff story with you that happened we were attempting to land in houston coming back from the Feast of Tabernacles several years ago from Guatemala and I was sitting toward the back of the plane just right in the angle of the plane coming in and I saw for a brief moment another plane coming right toward the play not very clearly I cannot forget it my brother-in-law sitting in front of me also saw the same thing out his window the pilot pulled up very rough noticeably not normal settled back on and then went around he said over the intercom sorry friends we had to pull up due to another plane attempting to take off and air traffic control sort of missed it as we were getting off the plane we were toward the end and most of the plane emptied I leaned over to a stewardess and discreetly said we almost had an accident she said yeah we almost bought the farm you don’t know what that means I can explain it later but it is one of the many reasons I’m not fond of flying even though it’s part of my job I do it frequently I don’t like flying my prayer life increases greatly every time we get on a plane how many opportunities as God opened up and brought your way I have had to face this I know you all have as well do we dismiss challenges and trials as potential opportunities my experience in the church is that God often takes us out of our comfort zones to see how we will respond I believe as the future continues the same will happen we will be faced with challenges how will we respond sometimes if we’re not careful you and I can be negative about the things that don’t go the way we think they should do we ask ourselves what does God have in mind here I many times have said God what are you doing with my life please help me understand that please help me to see them as we go through the directions I remember one time to show you an approach a person conveying to me on the day of atonement keeping the day of atonement which were coming up to shortly here the restaurant right next to in the hall to this where we were meeting began to cook a wonderful meal I think there was roast beef and baked potatoes and green beans with some sliced almonds all of this you could it was so fragrant it began to waft in the hall now what would your first reaction be great just what I needed I’m already nine to death and now I have to smell this right okay that waft it in I mean he couldn’t see it but you could smell it it was just so fragrant and as services ended it was still you could hear them clanging and cooking a person next to me when I said do you smell that here’s what they said wow look what we have to look forward to after we’re finished fasting do you see the focus my focus was why would they do this why would God allow this I’m already hurting and feel horrible and now why and this person said look what we have to look forward to you see the difference God gives us opportunities to get to know each other better within the body of Christ he’s here sometimes we refuse that opportunity at the home office recently as I walked down through the second floor particularly in different offices there are a lot of new faces as the church grows we have a lot of newer younger people working especially in the web area and I didn’t recognize some of them so I went in said hi talk to them to me that’s exciting yet some will say now you’re replacing everybody with all these young people it’s the approach how do we look at it a couple of decades ago I remember a person conveying to me that had quit attending church they may have left for various reasons hurt discouragement bitterness deception but they came to a point where they could not see God in the church any longer and they said there was no longer any need for them to stay we’ve seen some lose confidence in God in the Christian world you know church attendance in the Christian world is down many of the faith’s out there are advertising to try to get others to attend people are reaching a point one commentator I heard this recently said faith in God won’t help us now we must not brethren lose sight of God of him in our lives these fall holy days the Sabbath picture some significant and very important events in the history of mankind what these days picture is what you and I must and do live for there are lessons for the world but there are also very real lessons for us these days brother as we come up to them teach us to see God to see God the Jews have an understanding that with those branches they were weave and that they wave during the feast it is their understanding that God is everywhere and most certainly present with them at the feast how much more true is that for you and for me and not just at the feast we need to be a people who look for God in his hand in our lives let’s close with Revelation chapter 22 please Revelation chapter 22 verse 1 and he showed me a pure river of the water of life clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb and in the midst of the street on either side of the river there was the tree of life we’ve talked about that recently here that tree of life which bear 12 manner of fruits yielded her fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations are the well-being of the nations and there shall be no more curse brother in this world it’s not God’s were old we function under a curse and apart from God it is a horrible horrible place to be but the throne of God and of the lamb shall be in it and his servants shall serve Him and they shall see his face and his name shall be on their foreheads there shall be no night there no need no candle neither light of the Sun for the Lord God gives them light and they shall reign forever and ever the goal of this way of life brethren to see God face to face it isn’t just a vision in reality is much more than that it is a conviction that no one can ever change so don’t wonder if God is with us know that he is your challenge my challenge brethren is to see him you
How much are we — you and I — focused on the literal presence of God? What are the lessons that we should learn from the Feast of God? I would ask us to consider, as we go and keep it this year and keep those days: Do we have the ability to see God?
